Meterorologist Larry Handley joined the 9News Forecasters in April of 1999.
Larryspent the previous 10 years forecasting the weather throughout Floridain cities like Gainesville, West Palm Beach and Orlando.
Larry is thrilled to be living and working in Cincinnati because, as the saying goes, "there's no place like home!"
Larry was born and raised in Cincinnati and attended Mount Healthy HighSchool. He spent four years in the United States Air Force after highschool before returning home where he graduated from the University ofCincinnati. While in college, Larry actually worked at WCPO inproduction before pursuing his career in meteorology.
Larry ismarried and has a son and a daughter. He feels the greatest blessing inhis life is being a dad and that is how he spends most of his freetime. He occasionally does find time for other interests though.
A longtime percussionist, Larry is currently learning to play guitar.You may also find him running the streets of the Tri-state areatraining for his next marathon. He recently completed the Marine CorpsMarathon in Washington D.C. while helping to raise money for TheLeukemia Society of America.
