Meteorologist Steve Norris is certainly no stranger to Cincinnatitelevision. Steve jokes that he may very well hold the record of"appearing on the most TV stations (3) in the Cincinnati market in theshortest period of time (9 months).

Most recently, he did freelance work for WLWT-TV. Beforethat, he spent 3 years as the weekend meteorologist and weekdayreporter for WXIX-TV where he was nominated for a regional Emmy for astory he did on earthquakes. He can now be seen weekends at 6pm and11pm on the Channel 9 News.

Steve's love of weather started at a very young age. Hegrew up in Cloverdale, Indiana and remembers watching all the fiercethunderstorms that would boil up in the western sky and move overhead. After starting his television career in news, he quickly made the leapinto weather.

Away from work, Steve says there's never a dull momentin the Norris household with his 15-year-old Blue-Front Amazon parrotnamed Hector among the brood. "It's impossible not to crack up when hestarts laughing, whistling and talking non-stop. He talks more than Ido, if that's possible."

Steve enjoys the many hours he spends playing the stockmarket, but admits "the past year has been challenging at best." He'salso an avid runner and can often be found poolside in the summer. Hislatest challenge is learning to play the violin.

Steve loves meeting and talking to viewers as he travels around the Tri-state. Drop him at line at snorris@wcpo.com.
