ALEXANDRIA, Ky.-- Policemen and Firemen in Alexandria may be wearing Christmas sweaters instead of their uniforms as the Alexandria Fire Explorer Post 100 team-up with the Alexandria Police Explorers for their monthly youth dance 7-10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18.

Each month’s dance is themed and costs $5 for area students grades four through eight who would like to attend. Concessions are available at the lock-in style dance for $1.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Alexandria Fire Explorer Post 100 and the Alexandria Police Explorer Post.

Tentative dates for youth dances for the remainder of the 2009-2010 school year will be the second Friday of each month.

Questions or comments may be directed to Lt. John Seitz at (859) 635-5991.
