Bar Louie Holds Martini Open

Bar Louie will be hosting its first ever Martini Open Aug. 7, in an effort to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The golf outing will take place at A.J. Jolly Golf Course in Alexandria, Ky.

JDRF is dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes through education and research.
Eighty-five cents out of every dollar that is donated to the foundation goes directly to support research and research related education.

“We are very excited about raising money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation,” said Dan Kohler, general manager for Bar Louie in Newport.

“JDRF is an amazing charity and we are happy to help to through the Bar Louie Martini Open. Bar Louie is always looking for opportunities to give back to the community and we have worked very hard to create an event that will be fun and exhilarating for the golfers all while doing something for a great cause.”

Lunch and registration start at 11 a.m. with tee off at 12:30 p.m. Dinner and awards will be given out at Bar Louie at 6 p.m. There will also be prizes, split the pots, raffles and more.

Cost for an individual is $80 and $300 for a foursome and includes lunch, dinner, 18 holes, cart and a goodie bag for the golfers. Cost to sponsor a hole is $60 and $200 for a banner sponsorship.
