NEWPORT, Ky. – Bar Louie is looking to get into the holiday spirit this year by giving back to the community in three major ways and they want your help.

From Nov. 1-25, Bar Louie will be collecting gently used kid’s coats and blankets to donate to St. Joseph Orphanage in Cincinnati. Donations will be accepted at the front door and each guest who gives to the coat and blanket drive will receive a coupon for a free appetizer.

Also, during the month of November, Bar Louie will be collecting items to donate to Operation Gratitude. Operation Gratitude is a non-profit, volunteer organization that sends care packages overseas to individuals in the armed forces. We will be collecting items from their wish list (see below) to send to soldiers overseas. Any guest who brings in an item for Operation Gratitude will also receive a coupon for a free appetizer.

Finally, on Wednesday, Nov. 25, Bar Louie will be creating individual Thanksgiving meals to donate to the Senior Services of Northern Kentucky. The organization will then distribute the meals to their list of seniors in need in the local area so they can enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner in their own home.

"We are very proud to be a part of this every year," says Dan Kohler, Bar Louie’s general manager.

"Being able to donate a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to those in need has become something that our staff is very passionate about. It is wonderful to be able to give back to the community who has supported Bar Louie for years."
