If you're looking for economically friendly activities to fill your calender for July you'll find them for adults and children alike at the Behringer-Crawford Museum this month.

Behringer-Crawford Museum (BCM) ~ Music@BCM with Mambo Diablo, July 2, 7 -9 p.m.

The night will sizzle with the hot Latin Jazz of Mambo Diablo on July 2. Doors open at 6 p.m. for concert-goers to enjoy snacks courtesy of the Madison Event Center, cold beverages from Trauth Dairy and a great cash bar provided by Party Town of Florence. Tickets are only $5 for adult admission and $3 for child admission ages 3-12 (children under the age of 3 are free). All proceeds support educational programming at BCM, come enjoy a night of great music rain or shine for a wonderful cause.


Behringer-Crawford Museum, July 5, Sept. 20

Known as a painter, writer and a “Modern day Thoreau,” the exhibit, Harlan Hubbard: The Complexity of Simplicity explores the life and art of Harlan and Anna Hubbard. Paintings, photographs, letters and other items relating to the Hubbards will be on display in this exhibit. For more information please contact the museum at (859) 491-4003.


Behringer-Crawford Museum ~ Music@BCM with Jake Speed and the Freddies, July 9, 7-9 p.m.

Enjoy an evening of contemporary American folk music full of political humor and snappy tongue-in-cheek wit when listening to Jake Speed and the Freddies.  Doors open at 6 p.m. for concert-goers to enjoy wonderful snacks courtesy of the Madison Event Center, cold beverages from Trauth Dairy and a great cash bar provided by Party Town of Florence. Tickets are an only $5 for adult admission and $3 for child admission ages 3-12 (children under the age of 3 are free.) All proceeds support educational programming at BCM, come enjoy a night of great music rain or shine for a wonderful cause.


Behringer-Crawford Museum, July 12, 2 p.m.

Mr. Bill Caddell, personal friend of Harlan Hubbard, speaks about the art of Harlan Hubbard and his personal connections with Harlan and his wife Anna at the opening of the exhibit. Listen to his personal recollections and descriptions of the way in which Anna and Harlan lived without “creature comforts” like electricity.


Behringer-Crawford Museum ~ Rain Barrels 101 with the Civic Garden Center, July 15, 7 p.m.

The Civic Garden Center of Cincinnati will present Rain Barrels 101, a guide to the importance of using resources available through the dry, summer months. Demonstrations of rain barrel usage and other information will be provided by Sanitation District No. 1 of Northern Kentucky. Reservations are not required but encouraged. A night of fast-paced Celtic fun with traditional and new compositions awaits you July 16. Roger Drawdy and The Firestarters set the stage ablaze with their performance.  Doors open at 6 p.m. for concert-goers to enjoy wonderful snacks courtesy of the Madison Event Center, cold beverages from Trauth Dairy and a great cash bar provided by Party Town of Florence. Behringer-Crawford Museum ~ Steve Tracy and the Crawlin’ Kingsnakes, July 23, 7–9 p.m.

BCM’s Summer Concert Series draws to a close with this crowd pleaser. Local boy Steve Tracy returns home to Northern Kentucky and will perform some rockin’ blues with the Crawlin’ Kingsnakes. Doors open at 6 p.m. for concert-goers to enjoy wonderful snacks courtesy of the Madison Event Center, cold beverages from Trauth Dairy and a great cash bar provided by Party Town of Florence.
