COVINGTON, Ky. – The Community Action Gallery has decked their halls with the creative work of five local artists.

This gifted group of artists includes Jane Bresser – Porcelain; Richard Overman – Ceramics; Diane Kruer – Jewelry and Photography; Rena Gibeau – Fabric and Crochet; and Amy Weber, Fabric and the Needle.

Their artistic works are displayed at the Community Action Gallery and their creations of one of a kind pieces are available for purchase. It’s a perfect way to purchase unique holiday gifts, support local artists, Covington’s Art District, and the Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission all at the same time.

The exhibit titled "The Holiday Presence" will open with an artists’ reception on Friday, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will coincide with Covington’s 1st Friday Gallery Hop. The exhibit will run through Dec. 23. Guests can enjoy refreshments and hors d'oeuvres and the delightful sound of holiday music.

The event is open to the public. The Community Action Gallery is located on the first floor of the agency's administrative services center, 717 Madison Ave., in Covington across from the Madison Theatre.

The gallery opened in October 2007 with a special exhibit of work by students of the Duvenek Center. The Gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday and is closed on holidays and weekends.
