Town & Country Sports & Health Club in Wilder.
Seniors will be participating or observing in a variety of classes like:
-Warm-water exercise in the indoor pool
-Senior fit class, land aerobics
-Senior matte class
-Ti Gong, for stretching and stress release
Most of these activities the participants can do in chairs.
The staff and personal trainers from Town & Country will be working with the seniors. Some local businesses like St. Luke and St. Elizabeth have come out to talk with the participants and Edible Arrangements has provided fruit for the event.
“This is our third year celebrating the international Senior Fitness Day,” said Kerrie Eilers, marketing director at Town & Country.
“It’s a great opportunity to mingle and to talk to see if the fitness is right for them.”
The event lasts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Town & Country Sports & Health Club in Wilder.
