The North Central Area Health Education Center will host the 10th annual Hispanic Health Fair for the growing Hispanic/Latino population of Northern Kentucky from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the Marydale Catholic Center, Erlanger.
More than 300 participants are expected at the health fair, which will feature free screening tests for diabetes and high cholesterol, as well as blood pressure, dental, vision and hearing screening. Mammograms, pap smears, and confidential HIV/AIDS testing will be available.
All testing and services are free of charge and open to anyone. Booths and displays will provide information about health topics and community services.
All services will be provided in Spanish and English. Many bilingual health care providers will be present to answer questions about health and offer information about local services.
St. Elizabeth Medical Center is providing mammograms; local volunteer dentists are providing the dental screening; and the Erlanger and Covington-Kenton County Lions Clubs are providing vision testing. Over 100 health professionals and others will volunteer at the health fair.
Partners include: North Central Area Health Education Center, Gateway Community and Technical College, St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lions Clubs, St. Luke Hospital and the Northern Kentucky Independent District Health Department
