NEWPORT, Ky. – Grab a glass of wine and cozy up on the outdoor veranda this fall, winter season. Yes, an outdoor veranda in Northern Kentucky in November.

The Claddagh Irish Pub in Newport on the Levee is having its grand opening for a new, covered, heated veranda.

Starting at 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20 enjoy live music by Alex Carruthers. Sit down and relax to a plate of "traditional Irish fare with an American twist" as well as a glass of free wine and an assortment of cheeses to celebrate the already established pub and its new veranda.

The patio has been there, however, according to the area director JT Riley, this is the first year that they have covered and heated it for the "winter, so people can still sit outside and enjoy the views of downtown Cincinnati and the river."
