LATONIA, Ky. – On Saturday, from 3-6 p.m., Latonia will once again be known as Northern Kentucky’s Halloween hot spot.

The Latonia Business Association (LBA) brought back the Latonia tradition a Halloween Party at Ritte’s Corner in 2006. The party holds fond memories for many local residents.

"For the last three years our Halloween Parties have exceeded all expectations. We give praise to God for the great turn out and perfect weather. We continue this Latonia tradition again this year. Sponsoring the free family event is the LBA’s way of giving back to our community and thanking everyone for supporting our businesses. The block party is fun for young and old," said Marvin Wischer, LBA President.

The block party takes place at Historic Ritte’s Corner in the heart of Latonia.

Ronald McDonald will be at the party. There will be costume contests for people of all ages. In addition, Latonia Baptist Church will be sponsoring children’s games, Latonia Christian Church will host a car show and live music will play throughout the event.

"We have lots of activities for all ages," said Alisia Bailey, event chairperson and LBA Vice President of Membership. "Aside from the contests there will be a petting zoo, a cake walk, carriage rides, refreshments and of course, trick or treating."

All activities and refreshments are free and prizes will be awarded for the contests. Costume entrants should arrive no later than 3:30 p.m.
