FORT THOMAS, Ky. – Ruth Moyer Elementary is becoming a Winter Wonderland for the 34th year.

Families from all over the Greater Cincinnati area will flock to Ruth Moyer Elementary on Friday, from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the school’s annual fundraising event, the Santa House.

Milk and cookies, story time with Santa, pictures with Santa, and carnival like games are just some of the things children will enjoy.

Children will let their creativity flow in the craft area. Little ones can make ornaments, reindeer food and other decorative items. The Children’s Gift Shop will once again feature items from $1 to $5. Santa’s elves, Moyer fifth graders, will help little shoppers purchase gifts for parents, grandparents, siblings and even the family pet.

While the little ones play, adults can start on their Christmas shopping. Autographed sports memorabilia, jewelry, overnight getaways and restaurant gift certificates are just a few of the items featured in the silent auction. Drafts such as Christmas trees, wreaths and hand-painted furniture can be purchased at the adult boutique.

Art items, an American Girl Doll, Ben Guidugli autographed gloves, gift certificates and much more will be featured in the themed basket raffle. Gift certificates to nearly 100 local businesses will be for sale.

The North Pole Café will take care of your appetite for lunch, dinner and snacks. Visitors can also satisfy their sweet tooth at the Santa House Bake Shop.

"Admission is only $1 per person," says Heather Shultz, chair of Santa House. "This event finances items for the school including playground equipment, computers, smart boards and many more items that the school wouldn’t be able to buy otherwise.

"Teachers, students, Moyer parents and even community members work on this event to make it so successful."
