The 2009 History, Art and Culture Lecture Series will present “John A. Roebling and his Suspension Bridge on the Ohio River “ with Dr. Don Heinrich Tolzmann on Sunday, Nov. 8.
The lecture will take place at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 8 in the Kate Scudder House on the campus of Baker Hunt Art & Cultural Center at 620 Greenup St. in Covington. Parking is on 7th Street, east of Greenup.

The lecture, presented by the Friends of Baker Hunt and the Kenton County Historical Society, will explore the historic bridge. The elegant Roebling Suspension Bridge that connects downtown Covington and Cincinnati is both a National Historic Landmark and a National Engineering Landmark. Come and learn about the bridge builder and its creator, John A Roebling, who also designed the iconic Brooklyn Bridge.
Dr. Tolzmann, is a well known local historian, and author and editor of numerous books on German-American history.
