LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Lexington has tightened its smoking ban, adding all workplaces and public transportation facilities.
The new restrictions were approved by the Urban Council on Thursday.
The revision of the city's four-year-old smoke-free ordinance forbids smoking at bingo halls, the Blue Grass Airport, on public transportation and at all workplaces.
The law previously exempted facilities of private organizations and work spaces that were not open to the public.
The city ordinance was first implemented in April 2004.
