A 6-year-old girl from the Tri-State who died of brain cancer left notes and letters for her family members around her house with the thought they would find them after her death.

Now, those notes and letters have been made into a book titled "Notes Left Behind" that will be released Tuesday.

Elena Desserich died in 2007. Her parents, Keith and Brooke of Wyoming, Ohio, made a book from the letters their daughter wrote.

The Desserichs will celebrate the release of the book at Joseph Beth Booksellers in Rookwood Tuesday evening.

Harper Collins sold more than 150,000 pre-sale copies of the book and have printed it in 13 different languages.

All proceeds of the book go to The Cure Starts Now organization.
