Hebron Man Charged In Shooting

BURLINGTON, Ky. - A 30-year-old Hebron man faces charges stemming from a weekend shooting at a Boone County apartment complex, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.

Daryl Robbins Jr. was arrested Thursday on assault and wanton endangerment charges in connection with a shooting Friday at the Woodspring Apartment complex at 550 Mount Zion Road. He is being held in the Boone County Detention Center. No bond has been set yet.

Detective Bruce McVay made the arrest after following up on leads and questioning Robbins who police say admitted to his involvement.

According to officers, the shooting occurred about 7:40 p.m. Friday. Three friends were visiting at the apartment of one of the friends when one answered a knock at the door. A struggle ensued between the two ending with the man who answered the door being shot in the leg. The man, whose name was withheld, was taken to University Hospital in Cincinnati with non life threatening injuries.
