FORT THOMAS, Ky. – Highlands Middle School seventh grade students invite veterans and the Fort Thomas community to visit displays they created to celebrate and honor veterans.
On Wednesday, Nov.11, from 7-9 p.m., the students will display their celebration including military artifacts and personal mementos from the past 70 years.
All seventh grade students participated in this event by interviewing family members or friends who have served in the military, designing the displays to present the information gathered in the interviews, researching the major conflicts of the past 70 years, or by serving as guides to those viewing the displays.
All middle school students will have the opportunity to view the displays during the school day. Students will learn about the service of veterans and recognize the contributions our service men and women have made.
A special invitation is extended to all veterans to join the students at Highlands Middle School, 2350 Memorial Pkwy., in Fort Thomas. Additional parking will be available in the garage.
