Mason County Circuit Court Clerk Kirk Tolle has been elected by his fellow Circuit Clerks to serve as president of the Kentucky Association of Circuit Court Clerks. Tolle was elected to the office during the 2009 Circuit Court Clerks Summer College held June 9-12 in Lexington. His term as KACCC president is for one year. Tolle succeeds Anderson County Circuit Court Clerk Jan Rogers as president.
Circuit court clerks have offices in all 120 Kentucky counties and are responsible for managing the records of circuit and district courts and issuing Kentucky driver licenses and identification cards. The Mason County Office of Circuit Court Clerk is located in the Mason County Justice Center at 100 W. Third Street in Maysville.
“It’s an honor to be elected president of an association of officials elected from every county who serve such a vital role to the public,” Tolle said. “I look forward to working with Chief Justice John Minton and the Kentucky Supreme Court, my fellow circuit clerks and Administrative Office of the Courts personnel to better serve the citizens of our state through the Offices of Circuit Court Clerk. I also appreciate the hard work and dedication of my staff who will help reduce my workload while I carry out my new duties during the next year.”
Tolle is a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Maysville where he serves as youth director. He also serves on the Maysville Community and Technical College Foundation and the Hayswood Foundation.
The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) in Frankfort provides administrative support to 3,500 Kentucky Court of Justice employees, including the elected offices of justices, judges and circuit court clerks. The AOC also executes the Judicial Branch budget.
