The Northern Kentucky Health Department's diabetes program is holding free workshops for people to learn more about the disorder.
The first workshop will be broken up into two classes. The first class will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, and noon to 4 p.m. July 15, at the Erlanger branch of the
Kenton County Public Library at 401 Kenton Lands Road in Erlanger.
Registration for this workshop is not required, but preferred.
The second workshop will also be broken up into two classes. The first class will be held from 12:30-4:30 p.m. July 13, and from 12:30-4:30 p.m. July 20, at the Florence Branch of the
Boone County Public Library at 7425 U.S. 42 in Florence.
Registration for this workshop is not required, but preferred.
The final workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 16, at the
Petersburg Community Center at 6517 Market St in Petersburg.
Registration is required for this workshop. Lunch will be provided free of charge for this workshop to those who register.
Topics will include: what is diabetes, healthy eating, complications and more. The workshops will be led by a registered nurse and a registered dietitian from the Health Department.
