HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Students, faculty and staff at Northern Kentucky University now have an easier way to manage their NKU All Card, the official identification card at NKU. And if they register by Dec. 16, they’ll also have the chance to win a 42-inch Sanyo LCD television and a PlayStation 3 video game console or other great prizes.
The university has entered into an agreement with ManageMyID that allows holders of NKU All Cards to make online deposits to the All Card, view real-time account balances, check transaction histories and report a card lost or stolen.
"Everyone at NKU has an All Card, but not everyone takes advantage of many of the benefits that come with owning the card," said Ward Wenstrup, All Card administrator. "This online management system makes it easier for students and parents to put money on the All Card. And with so many discounts available to All Card users, people can really save a lot of money by using the card for campus services."
Users of ManageMyID must first register with the site, which takes only a couple of minutes. Then they have immediate access to all of the online functions ManageMyID have to offer, including instant money transfers. "The instantaneous nature of these transfers is very important to our students," Wenstrup said.
"Now, when a student realizes at 10 p.m. that he is out of money, he can go online and transfer funds to his All Card or he can call mom and dad and ask them to transfer funds from home."
The NKU All Card is used for accessing the school’s recreation facilities and other buildings, checking out books from Steely Library, voting in campus elections and riding TANK/Southbank Shuttle under the NKU UPASS program, among other things.
The card is capable of storing money which can be used at NKU dining service locations, computer lab printing, campus vending machines, the NKU Bookstore, laundry machines, Bank of Kentucky Center concessions, etc. Many of these services are offered at a discount to All Card users. The All Card can also be connected to a US Bank account and used as a US Bank ATM/debit card.

On Dec. 16, NKU will hold a random drawing of all registered ManageMyID users. The top prize will be a 42-inch Sanyo LCD 1080p television (model DP 42849) and a Sony PlayStation 3 120GB video game console.
