HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University will host the Kentucky Association of Social Work Educators’ (KASWE) Conference April 3-4.
The theme of the conference, which will include faculty and students from 11 different social work programs around Kentucky, is “Active Learning: Social Work in Motion.”
The conference is primarily student driven and features lectures, research and poster presentations regarding active learning in social work. More than 150 people are expected to attend.
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday and Kentucky’s Commissioner of the Department for Community Based Services Patricia Wilson will deliver the keynote address at noon.
Workshops will end the day at 4:15 p.m. and the NKU Social Work Club will host an ice cream social from 4:30-6 p.m.
The conference will resume Friday morning at 9 a.m. and conclude at 11:30 a.m. with student poster presentations.
