Three Covington Catholic students swept the annual Voice of Democracy speech competition sponsored by Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post 1484 in Park Hills.

Sophomore Philip Ryan won first place, sophomore Alex Emerson took second place, and junior Louie Hehman won third place. Each boy received a monetary award.

This year’s theme for a recording a broadcast script was “Service and Sacrifice by America’s Veterans Benefit Today’s Youth by. . .”
