Web produced by: Kerry DukeThe Campbell County Planning and Zoning Office is waiving the requirement for an electrical permit for repairs needed to electric meters, attached hardware and weatherheads pulled away from homes as a result of the windstorm.
Residents are advised to contact an electrician to do the necessary repair work immediately. The county also asks residents to contact the Campbell County Planning & Zoning Office to provide their name, address and phone number during regular business hours to assist the office in keeping track of the homes needing repair work. County officials said residents are still required to obtain an inspection by a certified electrical inspector once repairs are completed before Duke Energy will be able to reconnect the electric service. Electricians will have the contract information for the electrical inspectors.
The county office covers the unincorporated portions of Campbell County and the cities of Southgate, Woodlawn, Crestview, Melbourne and Silver Grove.
