2 Facing Moonshine Charges

GRAND RIVERS, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky State Police say two men are facing charges after officers found a moonshine operation at a residence in Livingston County in western Kentucky.

State police and Livingston County sheriff's officers were following up on a drug investigation Thursday when they say they found a moonshine still that was in operation.

Police say they found items used to make moonshine and to grow marijuana, as well as several firearms.

Police say 22-year-old Kyle Beverly of Grand Rivers was charged with having an apparatus for unlawful manufacturing of an alcoholic beverage, trafficking in marijuana and other drug offenses.

Another man, 51-year-old Thomas Beverly, was cited for having an apparatus for unlawful manufacturing of an alcoholic beverage. State police did not say if the two men are related.
