JACKSON, Ky. (AP) - Heavy rain has produced small-stream flooding in eastern Kentucky.
The National Weather Service office in Jackson issued flood warnings Wednesday morning for Leslie County and Pike County in southeastern Kentucky, until 11 a.m.
The weather service said Kentucky State Police reported water over sections of U.S. 421 south of Hyden and several mudslides in the area.
The middle fork of the Kentucky River was expected to rise as the smaller streams emptied into it.
In central Pike County, high water was reported along Johns Creek and its tributaries.
