Deputy's Car Hits Horse, Inmate Hurt

LEBANON, Ky. (AP) — A central Kentucky jail inmate has been injured when the sheriff's department car she was being transported in struck horses.

Kentucky State Police said 47-year-old Donna Montgomery of Lebanon was in a Marion County Sheriff's Department car Sunday night when Deputy Tim Abell rounded a curve on state Rt. 49 and the car struck three horses.

Abell wasn't hurt.

Montgomery was taken to Springview hospital injuries that were not life-threatening.
