LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — A judge in Lexington has ordered the former bookkeeper of a charity to repay nearly a half-million dollars.

WKYT-TV in Lexington reported Bendrea Wilson is also required to pay 12 percent interest on money investigators say she stole from Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bluegrass by forging signatures of the group's officials to checks. The interest payment alone will be $52,300.

The station reported Wilson has signed over the deed to her home to the nonprofit organization.

The requirements settle a civil lawsuit filed by Big Brothers Big Sisters against Wilson. A criminal investigation continues.
