PRINCETON, Ky. (AP) — A western Kentucky man convicted of second-degree manslaughter in the death of a 10-month-old boy has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
The Paducah Sun reports Circuit Judge C.A. Woodall III followed the jury's recommendation when he sentenced Philip Knee of Dawson Springs on Tuesday.
Knee was accused of smothering Ethan Cotton, the son of his former girlfriend, by holding a bottle tightly to the baby's mouth until he stopped breathing.
