MAYFIELD, Ky. (AP) — Police in Mayfield have charged a man with murder in the strangulation death of a woman more than a year ago.
The body of Delilah Blair was found by her family in her apartment on Oct. 4, 2008 after she failed to come to work at a nursing home. A medical examiner's report showed Blair was strangled, apparently manually.
The Paducah Sun reported police charged 45-year-old Tony Green with murder on Friday.
Detective Mark Green said the department received a report from a crime laboratory last week and there was evidence linking Tony Green to the homicide.
The detective told the newspaper robbery was the apparent motive.
