FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — The Kentucky Secretary of State's office has a new tool that tells people online when political candidates file their paperwork to run for office.
A press release from Trey Grayson's office says the updates offer people "near instantaneous notification" when candidates file for office.
Grayson says in a press release that the new service is free. People who sign up for notifications can get various e-mail alerts either as the information is filed or hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.
The service is available online at www.sos.ky.gov/notificationservices.
