FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — A nominating panel has sent Gov. Steve Beshear the names of three candidates to fill a judicial opening in Kentucky's 32nd Judicial District, which covers Boyd County.
All three candidates are Ashland attorneys. The vacancy occurred when Judge George W. Davis III was appointed to a circuit court judgeship.
Beshear is to select Davis' replacement from candidates Roger Wilco Hall, Scott Taylor Reese and Anna Holmes Ruth. The person Beshear chooses will have to run for the seat in 2010 to keep it.
