Homeowners in cities around the country are livid.... after opening up the new Yellow Pages and finding their address inside.
Why would their homes be listed in the
Yellow Pages? Because what appears to be a lying locksmith has decided to use their home as a company address!
Homeowner is OutragedWe found a beautiful street filled with half million dollar Victorian homes...the last place you'd expect to find a locksmith.
But according to the phone book, there is a locksmith on this idyllic residential street...right inside Phyllis Bossin's home.
Phyllis tells me "I got the phone book out, and Googled locksmiths , and there was my home address all over the Yellow Pages and the internet!"
Yes, the new
Yellow Pages lists Phyllis's home as a locksmith address. And Phyllis is not the only one. If you look up
"Emergency All Day Locksmith" you'll find a half dozen home addresses, all in an apparent attempt to make the locksmith appear local.
Phyllis says "it has numerous addresses, numerous numbers, and its all bogus."
I also spoke with another woman, who says her home is also being used as a locksmith address...though she did not want her name used or to be interviewed on TV.
Who is Doing This?Police tell me their investigation so far reveals that "Emergency All Day Locksmith" actually connects to a national call center in
Clearwater, Florida, run by
"Dependable Locksmith."Dependable gets an
"F" from the
Better Business Bureau ...which two years ago accused it of running a nationwide "swindle" with misleading local phone numbers and high prices.
