Alice Carter Wood

Alice Carter Wood, 89, of Covington died Monday at St. Elizabeth Florence.

She was a member of the Ada Chapel in Wilmington, Ohio and a Rosie Riveter during World War II in San Diego, Calif.

Her husbands, Herschel Carter and William L. Wood, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, William Allen Wood of Union; daughters, Patricia Duesing of Florence and Diana Lynn Wood of Fort Thomas; brothers, Wilbur Ward of Wilmington, Ohio and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, Northern Kentucky, 7388 Turfway Road, Florence, KY 41042.
