Dorothy M. Byrne, 82, of Newport, died Wednesday at Baptist Village Care in Erlanger.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Shurch and was a retired tax examiner for the IRS in Covington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice “Mossey” Byrne. Survivors inculde daughters Maureen Wash of Highland Heights, Eileen Byrne of Independence and Becky Giles also of Independence; son Kevin Byrne of Union; brother Vernon Meister of Fort Thomas; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, 241 Fairfield Ave., Bellevue, Ky., from 3-6 p.m. Sunday.

Mass of Christian burial will be at Holy Spirit Church Monday at 11 a.m.

Burial will be at St. Stephen Cemetery in Fort Thomas.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Vincent DePaul Society at Holy Spirit Church, 825 Washington Ave., Newport, KY 41071.
