Frederick Allen Gilliland, 78, of Demossville died Wednesday, Nov. 4 at Rosedale Manor in Covington.

He was an animal control officer for the city of Urbana, Ill. and a member of the Black Powder Muzzle Loaders Club.

His wife, Donna Hutson Gilliland, died in 2005.

Survivors include his daughters, Penney Dalton of Virginia Beach, Va. and Darla Knox of Demossville; sister, Garnet Grein of Champaign, Ill.; brother, Francis Gilliland of Champaign, Ill; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel in Urbana, Ill. Visitation will begin there at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8.

Local arrangements are being handled by Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence.

Memorials are suggested to the National Foundation for Ectodermal Dysplasia, 410 E. Main St., Mascoutah, IL 62258-0114.
