Hugh E. Gers, Self-Employed Helicopter Mechanic

Hugh E. Gers, 78, of Erlanger died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Hospice.

He was a self-employed helicopter mechanic, an Army veteran, a restorer of helicopters at Ft. Knox and Wright Patterson Airforce Base and a former Little League coach in Erlanger.

He was preceeded in death by his daughter Jennifer Lewis.

Survivors include his wife Pat Gers of Erlanger; a daughter Deborah Gers Mersereau of Flemington, N.J.; two sons Michael Gers and Steven Gers, both of Union; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Linnemann Funeral Home.  Visitation will be there from 4-8 p.m. on Monday.  Burial will take place in the Alexandria Cemetery in Alexandria.
