John M. Stansel, 76, of Crescent Springs died Tuesday at Villaspring of Erlanger.

He was retired machine operator with the General Electric Co. in Cincinnati and a Navy veteran of the Korean War.

His wife, Jean Stansel, preceded him in death.

Survivors include daughters, Debbie Mersch of Florence, Kathy Palmer of Bromley, Deborah Colvin of Edgewood, Kimberly Wilkins of Villa Hills and Kellie Klare of Erlanger; a step-son, Dennis Kerl of Ludlow; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home in Ludlow. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
