Katherine C. Haegele, 97, of Covington died Saturday at Baptist Convalescent Center in Newport.

She was a bookkeeper for Covington Mutual Insurance, a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital and a longtime former member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan Griffith of Independence; a sister, Nora Upthegrove of Miami, Fla; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Swindler & Currin Funeral Home in Latonia. Visitation will begin there at 9:30 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell.
