Mary L. Steffen Reckers

Mary L. Steffen Reckers, 94, of Covington died Friday, Oct. 30 at Rosedale Manor Nursing Home in Covington.

She was the food services director at Marydale Retreat Center in Erlanger and prior to that the food services director at Redwood School. She was instrumental in helping start the lunch program for Mother of God Elementary School and was a member of Mother of God Church in Covington, the Altar Society and the Ladies Society of Mother of God and a board member of the Parish Kitchen of Covington.

Her husband, Joseph C. Reckers Sr., died in 1986.

Survivors include her sons, Joseph C. Reckers Jr. of Walton and Jack Reckers of Covington; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Wednesday, Nov. 4 Mother of God Church. Burial will be in Mother of God Church in Covington. Visitation will begin there at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright.

Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home in Covington is handling arrangements.
