Haunted houses, spooky storytimes, costume parties and more is going on all month long at the Kenton County libraries.

Enter an original poem or tale in the Library’s spooky writing contest. Submit entries to Covington Children’s Department.

What: Spooktacular Haunted Library
When: Oct. 16 at 5:30 p.m.

If you like ghosties and ghoulies, you’ll love our family-friendly Haunted Chamber.
Who: Children in grades 3-6
What: Edible Crafts: Creepcakes
When: Oct. 20 at 4:30 p.m.
Where: Durr Branch Library 1992 Walton-Nicholson Road, Independence
These creepy cupcakes may look sweet but they’ve got a dark side. Come to the Library to decorate your own creepcake. Registration required by calling 962-4032.

Learn about the haunted history of the Waverly Hills Sanatorium and watch a film documenting its many spooks.
