The swine flu app, which costs $1.99, includes videos, animations, and text that allows users to learn about the virus including how to reduce the risk to them and their families, and how to prepare a business for the pandemic.

According to techcrunch, the app also features real-time updates and news from Harvard Med School about the virus.

Users can also determine how close an outbreak is to their location. The "HealthMap" feature allows users to know how bad the epidemic is in their area and other locations.

The app also allow users who feel sick and aren't sure if they are suffering from H1N1 to determine if their symptoms are related to swine flu. There are also hotlines and numbers available for the user to call in case of an emergency.
