This February, Blue Licks State Resort Park is offering everything from special Valentine's Day dinners and events to all-you-can-eat buffet. Read below to discover all that they are offering this month.
Valentine’s Dinner Theater – Feb. 13-14 Blue Licks treats its visitors to fine dining and entertainment at one of their most sought after events. Tickets are $34.95 plus tax per person and includes an all-you-can-eat dinner buffet featuring roast beef, farm raised catfish, and a dessert bar to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth. Packages are available that include an overnight stay in the lodge room of your choice, two Valentine’s Dinner Theater tickets, and breakfast for two the next morning all for only $129 plus tax. Valentine’s Day Buffet – Feb. 14 Spend Valentine’s Day with your beloved at Blue Licks. Take a leisurely romantic stroll around the park or on one of our walking trails and then treat that special someone to an incredible dining experience. This buffet features fresh fruits and vegetables with special dipping sauces, soups, salads, roast beef carved on the line, chicken cordon bleu, meat lasagna, fried fish, shrimp alfredo, and more. Finish off this special evening with sweet chocolate desserts including chocolate mousse, chocolate cake with raspberry sauce, and chocolate covered strawberries. The buffet is served from 11:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. for $12.95, not including tax and a beverage.
Great Backyard Bird Count – Feb. 15-18 The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual four-day event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are across the continent. Anyone can participate, from beginning bird watchers to experts. It takes as little as 15 minutes on one day, or you can count for as long as you like each day of the event. It’s free, fun, and easy—and it helps the birds. It is a great family activity and we recommend you visit

Various species of birds can be found at Blue Licks throughout the year and we encourage all of our park visitors to participate in this event. Be sure to dress properly for weather conditions and you may also want to bring binoculars and a camera.
Build Your Own Bluebird House – Feb. 15 Pre-registration is required since we have a limited number of bluebird house kits available. Cost is $10 per person and recommended for ages 10 and above. This activity does include admission to the Pioneer Museum since the program will take place in the lower level of the museum at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15.
Early Bird Walks – Feb. 16-18 Bird lovers will meet in front of the Pioneer Museum at 7 a.m. for a guided bird watch along the Buffalo Trace & Heritage Trails. This will be a leisurely paced walk that covers approximately two miles. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. You may also bring cameras, binoculars, bottle water, etc.
River Bank Fish Fry – Feb. 21 Our most requested entrée is back—catfish! Enjoy all you-can-eat fried catfish, lemon pepper broiled catfish, spicy cajun catfish, catfish nuggets, and catfish fiddlers. There will also be Licking River frog legs, river bank fried potatoes with onion, frog pond tarter sauce, hot slaw, fried cornbread, corn on the cob, green bean casserole, and signature salad bar and desserts. The buffet will be served 11:30a.m.-8p.m. for $12.95 plus tax and a beverage..
Country Western Buffet – Feb. 28 Bring family and friends with a hearty appetite to the Country Western Buffet. There will be chuck wagon bacon and bean soup, buffalo hunter’s soup, and texas chili, Among these salad bar items, there will also be fried chicken, texas style catfish, and fried green tomatoes. New flavors will be in some dishes including an amazing buffalo stew, beef and bean burritos, barbequed buffalo ribs, chopped steak smothered in mushroom onion gravy, skillet fried rabbit with cream gravy, hot mexican slaw, fried okra, campfire potatoes, fried jlapeno cornbread cakes, ciscuits, and green beans. Desserts include fried apple pie with vanilla ice cream, banana pudding, cakes, & cobblers. Price is $12.95 plus tax and a beverage. The buffet is served from 4 p.m.-8 p.m.
