The Independence Fire District in conjunction with Independence Professional Firefighters Local 3945 will be hosting an early Valentine’s Youth Dance, for area students in grades 4 through 8. So ask your Valentine to “Rock the Firehouse” with you.
The dance will be held at The Independence Fire District, Station # 1 at 1980 Delaware Crossing, on Friday, Feb. 6, from 7-10 p.m.
Admission is $5 at the door and concessions are available for $1 each at the dance.
At this month’s dance you can show your Rockin Talent with “Rock Band” or “Guitar Hero”, you can play three songs for $5.
Parents: Since this is a “lock-in style dance”, once your child is dropped off, the only way they can leave is if a parent comes to the front door and retrieves your kids.
All proceeds from this event benefits firefighter safety, training and well being.
The following is the tentative schedule through the end of the 2008-2009 school year:
