Estill County Downs Newport On Late TD

  Senior Randy Davidson scored the game-winning touchdown with 5:41 left in the game as Estill County edged Newport, 24-20 on Friday.

 Estill County drove 57 yards on the decisive drive without throwing the ball.

 Estill County took a 17-0 lead, but the Wildcats scored 20 unanswered points to take the lead early in the fourth quarter on a 16-yard touchdown reception by junior Brandon Carter.

 Newport junior quarterback Demetri Brown was 10-for-18 for 189 yards and a touchdown, but he was intercepted four times. Brown also ran the ball 10 times for 89 yards and two TDs.
