Five finalists were chosen Tuesday in the search for the new NKU Director of Athletics position.
Finalists include:
- Jerry Wollmering, Director of Athletics, Truman State University;
- Jerome Rodgers, Associate Athletic Director for Compliance, Boston College;
- Scott Eaton, Senior Associate Athletic Director for Administration, Northern Kentucky University;
- Derek van der Merwe, Senior Associate Athletic Director, Central Michigan University; and
- Holly Sheilly, Assistant Director for Championships & Student Development, University of Louisville.
The five finalists will visit the Highland Heights campus for a series of interviews with athletics staff, student athletes, university administrators and members of the campus community between July 6 and 13.
“The committee has worked tirelessly to narrow down what was a very qualified and talented pool of candidates,” said Zebulun Davenport, NKU vice president for student affairs. “This is a very high-profile position, and we’re excited about the caliber of candidates we have attracted.” Davenport said he hopes to have the position filled in July.
Jane Meier stepped down as NKU Director of Athletics on April 3, after 31 years at NKU, 21 of which were spent as athletic director.
