Kelly Runs For 347 Yards In NewCath Win Over Lloyd

  Junior running back Chris Kelly had 23 carries for 347 yards and four touchdowns as Newport Central Catholic downed Lloyd, 42-20 on Friday.

 The Thoroughbreds scored four straight touchdowns before Lloyd got on the board late in the second quarter.

 Lloyd senior quarterback Dylan McGuire was 24-for-36 for 268 yards and two touchdowns, and senior Charles Johnson caught six passes for 111 yards and two TDs in the losing effort.

 NewCath clinches the top seed in Class 2A, and Lloyd finishes third.
