Junior quarterback Chad Lawrence eclipsed the 100-yard mark rushing and passing.
And for good measure, he added 104 yards on punt returns, including a 68-yard touchdown as Simon Kenton pounded Scott, 50-0 on Friday.
Lawrence accounted for six of the Pioneers’ seven touchdowns. He had 13 carries for 130 yards and three TDs, and completed 8 of 15 passes for 150 yards and two more scores.
Senior Miles Simpson played three quarters in the blowout, and rushed 14 times for 122 yards and one touchdown. Simpson finished second to Bellevue’s Ricky Buckler in area rushing yards with 1,777 yards and 31 TDs.
Simon Kenton finished with 283 rushing yards.
Scott senior Zach Sowder had 22 carries for 104 yards, and he was 6-for-15 for 53 yards. Sowder finished third in Northern Kentucky in rushing with 1,727 ground yards. He was 32 yards behind Simpson for second entering Friday.S. KENTON 0-29-7-14—50
