Scott forward Alec Robbins was named Offensive Player of the Year on the Northern Kentucky boys’ soccer all-star team selected by local coaches.
Robbins, who scored 26 goals this season, received the award on Monday during the Northern Kentucky Boys High School Soccer Coaches Association’s annual post-season banquet.
Garrett Justice of Covington Catholic was named Defensive Player of the Year and Casey Seibert of Scott was selected Coach of the Year.
Chris Lally of Ryle and Griffin Wright of Pendleton County each received the Scott Christian “More Than A Match” Award for overcoming adversity to play soccer this season.
Lally recovered from a serious back injury and Wright lost his father in a tragic automobile accident.
Cooper High School received the Sportsmanship Award and Joe Barker was named Official of the Year.
The coaches association also inducted former players Marcus Resing, Ken Chard and Jeff Acuff and former coach Tim Heil into its Hall of Fame during the banquet. FIRST-TEAM ALL-STARS
