  Senior Miles Simpson rushed for 222 yards and five touchdowns on just 15 carries as Simon Kenton blanked injury-plagued Cooper, 62-0 on Friday.

 Junior Chad Lawrence completed 6 of 12 passes for 101 yards and a TD for the Pioneers, who improved to 2-0 in district play.

 Simon Kenton finished with 426 yards of total offense – 325 rushing and 101 passing.

 Cooper, which fell to 0-2 in Class 6A, only gained 77 yards.

 The Jaguars were without junior running back Dvontae Bradley, the team’s rushing leader, and senior Logan Schulkers left the game with an injury and did not return.
