Walker's 3 Rushing TDs Pace Holy Cross Win Over Newport

  Senior Markel Walker had 13 carries for 121 yards and three touchdowns as Holy Cross beat Newport, 34-14 on Friday.

 Walker also completed 5 of 9 passes for 94 yards and one TD as the Indians clinched the No. 2 seed and home-field advantage for the first round of the playoffs.

 Newport finished fourth in Class 2A.

 Junior Demetri Brown had 16 carries for 98 yards and a touchdown, and he was 10-for-26 passing for 95 yards and anther score.
